The Company

A fantastic opportunity with a Global FMCG business for a Key Account Manager to develop and manage the Modern trade channel accounts in the Middle East

The Role

  • Develop and implement a Key Accounts Strategy in line with the Marketing Strategy to enable the Organisation to win in the Modern Trade channel
  • Implement processes specifically designed to gather information at end market level and consolidate it into a database to understand, review, and strategically plan the business
  • Develop and implement account plans for strategic customers to achieve the set objectives
  • Efficiently manage the budget and optimise resources allocated to Key Accounts
  • Establish KPI’s to track performance and develop corrective action plans to address any deviations
  • Develop, implement and evaluate relevant cycle specific Trade marketing programs and activities
  • Lead and effectively manage the account negotiation process together with the sales operations team
  • Capture innovative ideas from trade and consumers
  • Optimise tools and processes to drive productivity and growth
  • Identify emerging trends and explore opportunities to benefit the business

The Person

  • A degree preferably in Marketing/Business Management and 5-6 years relevant FMCG experience with 2-3 years of Key Accounts management experience in the Middle East negotiating annual contracts with strategic accounts
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to influence others
  • Analytical and quantitative skills
  • Have an understanding of supply chain, distribution and logistics
  • Understanding of consumer and customer segmentation and portfolio management
  • Knowledge in development and implementation of trade programs
  • Ability to communicate effectively and build rapport with customers and peers
  • Team player with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • You must be a strong communicator and be fluent in English & Arabic
