Compliance Manager (Pharma)

The Company

A leading pharma organisation are looking to for a Compliance Manager to lead the compliance function across the region, ensuring operations and business transactions follow internal and external standards. Reporting directly to the Head of Legal and Compliance, the role will involve training staff, running ad-hoc investigations, creating awareness and managing non-GMP SOP.

The Role

Leadership & Strategy 

  • Develop a compliance plan & implement company Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) strategy
  • Collaborate with management to address  business risks
  • Assist management in the assessment of project risks and controls, perform due diligences (distributors)
  • Apply ERM concepts to help identify, assess, mitigate and consider potential risks
  • Serve as an escalation point to track and follow-up on risk events

Monitoring and Analytics

  • Provide solutions and coordinate the execution of control mechanism/testing against technical procedures to ensure appropriate execution and that risk is mitigated
  • Analyze business problems using software, analytical tools and techniques, business process and technical knowledge
  • Develop and review Standards of Conduct to ensure continued guidance is provided
  • Protect assets by establishing compliance standards; anticipating emerging compliance trends; designing improvements to internal controls
  • Respond to alleged violations of rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and Standards of Conduct
  • Acts as an independent review and evaluation body to ensure that compliance issues/concerns are appropriately evaluated, investigated and resolved

Training and Documenting

  • Work with business units  to develop an effective compliance training program, including  introductory training for new employees and ongoing training for all existing staff and leadership teams
  • Coach and collaborate with colleagues,  providing coaching, feedback and guidance on work performance
  • Review and draft Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
  • Manage database of SOPs and KYC documents

The Person

  • Pharma experience
  • BSc/BA in law, accounting, finance, or business administration; MBA or accounting certification preferred
  • Experience in risk management
  • Experience in SAP
  • Knowledge of IFRS
  • Excellent interpersonal and written English skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Willingness to travel
