The Company

Our client, a multinational name is looking for a pragmatic and erudite strategic Marketing Director in Kuwait who can challenge the status quo.

The Role

You will be leading the whole nine-yard role of marketing including events, ATL, BTL, online, offline, social media marketing activities, relationship with the advertising agency and product management. You will be responsible for transforming policies, strategies and objectives into long, medium and short-term Marketing plans that support current KPI’s, Improving CSI levels, meeting budgeted store traffic numbers, reviewing the product portfolio within each product group improving the brand image, and enhancing the customer experience.

Succinctly, you will be responsible for;

  • Developing strategy & concept across all categories, including price positioning, packaging, etc
  • Maintaining and utilizing sales and market information to develop marketing strategy including; price positioning of each product, pricing and discount strategy, competitors\' pricing and discount programs, brand and segment to optimize margins and stock levels.
  • Holding a leadership position in the development and implementation of customer loyalty programs and measurement, inclusive of Loyalty programs, Customer Satisfaction Indexes, Customer Care both from the management of the Call Center as well as the in-store Customer Care departments.
  • Create and sell out effective POP/Marketing/Retail space programs to suppliers — in line with store traffic, benchmarking with competition, with the aim of generating additional revenue for the business.
  • Establishes and maintains proactive relationships with industry influencers, key community strategic partners, and product suppliers in order to utilize these relationships in achieving market and marketing objectives.
  • Reviewing agreed plans for showrooms merchandising, window displays and in-store promotions in coordination with sales & product management to ensure the realization of maximum revenue from retail space.
  • CRM Marketing project and Social media strategy and execution

The Person

  • Bachelor\'s degree in a related field (Marketing, Business Administration). MBA is preferred
  • At least 10 years of relevant marketing experience, out of which 5 years should be in leading a team. Experience in the retail market, especially electronics, apparel and consumables, is an asset, but related consumer industries will also be considered. An inspirational leader to motivate and develop people
  • Must have worked on digital marketing initiatives and have a good understanding of this discipline
  • Must have experience of working in Emerging Markets. Experience of the Middle East is a clear advantage.
  • Fluency in English & Arabic is a must.
