Mackenzie Jones is currently managing the search for a reputable organization within construction sector, seeking for Engineering Project Director, to focus on project management, facility management, and technical services.
In this role you will be responsible for the overall project management of construction projects through all stages, from master planning through feasibility and design to construction.

The Role
Key responsibilities:
- Responsible for developing the budget in line with the overall divisional budget and strategy.
- Accountable for the budget allocated to the overall Engineering Department, ensuring it is spent as per the strategic and operational direction of the division.
- Establish and maintain projects policies, processes & procedures in line with international standards and local regulations.
- Oversee the design of the project zone and master plans.
- Manage property development projects to budget, schedule and quality expectations/requirements.
- Preparation of strategic plans, financial and business viability of all activities and maximize value to the company.
- Develop annual capital budgets aligned with strategic objectives.
- Develop and implement goals, objectives, policies, procedures, performance objectives and standards, and reporting systems in conjunction with other departments and with regulatory agencies and deploy plans to most efficiently deliver services.
- Direct and participate in management studies, oversee the preparation of project reports and provide overall review of complex development matters to ensure that all data is accurate and timely in order to meet the assigned objectives.
The Person
Key requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering
- Minimum of 12 years construction industry project management experience. Of which 5 years shall have been in a similar role within a related corporation/organisation
- Fluent in English (Arabic preferred)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- A people-oriented individual, collaborative, supportive leader, able to deal with people across all levels in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Ability to work under pressure and handle high-volume operations
- Recommend and implement solutions
- Strong financial modelling skills
- Strong analytical and reporting skills
- Organisational skills
- Good communication skills
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office
- Good awareness of local construction regulations
- Evidence of the ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with clients
- Good negotiation and conflict resolution skills
- Working knowledge of CAD/Planning software
- Excellent project management skills
