The Role

The purpose of the HR Manager (Performance and Reward) is to standardise and bring business competence to performance management across the business unit ensuring it is embraced by all employees to deliver tangible business results and employee development.

You will manage the development and implementation of Total Reward Management & Performance Management systems for the business unit, ensuring market competitiveness and internal equity in order to support the achievement of the HR strategy.

As well as put in place and refresh competency frameworks ensuring they reflect the organisation’s capability requirements in the short, mid and long term with particular reference to creating future leaders and supporting the business unit’s core values.


Responsibilities include:

  • HR Governance framework: Act as the point of contact for the business unit and facilitate the communication of the HR corporate framework
  • Performance Management strategy and policies: Provide input to the development of the HR strategy on performance management in order to maximise employee contribution and capability. As well as develop Performance Management policies and programs to support the Company; motivate, recognise, reward and develop its resources in the most effective ways.
  • Compensation and Benefits: Develop and seek approval for the compensation and benefits plans ensuring alignment of the business unit/s to promote achievement of the HR strategy of the group.
  • Reward Management: Develop, review and propose changes to Reward Management policies and ensure that the company is appropriately positioned to recruit and retain staff of the required level of expertise.
  • Organizational change & development: Adopt the most suitable global best practices to facilitate process improvements in all HR functions in the business unit/s in order to support the achievement of the Corporate HR strategy and improve organizational performance.
  • Engagement: Participate in the design of employee engagement surveys (with corporate communications). Analyse survey data to assess the level of employee engagement and diagnose any factors which disengage employees from the workplace

The Person

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and expertise:

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR Management or Organizational Behaviour. MBA or CPA or equivalent post-graduate qualification from an internationally recognised business school.
  • In-depth knowledge of organizational behaviour, development & change management techniques and global best practices.
  • 8-10 years’ experience with at least 5 years in a senior role in a major private-sector organisation in the region.
  • Experience in Human Resources Development with a minimum of 5 years in talent management.
  • Managerial experience with People Management skills (both in-house and outsourced)
  • A high-level of IT and analytical skills especially in Human Resources Management System
  • A detail-orientated person, with a strong business acumen skills
