Finance Systems Manager

The Company

Our client is undergoing a major change program and is looking to bring capability in-house to initially manage their new systems implementation; then pick up the change management piece in terms of financial systems to create continuous improvement in their financial management during a period of exponential growth.

The Role


  • Updating the organisational hierarchy maintained with the finance system, including chart of accounts, departments and other foundational elements
  • Running regular routine tasks at key times within the financial calendar, period ends, PO process, loading weekly sales using the web portal
  • Running and producing reports from the system for various users
  • Training of other users and super users from different teams on the system functionality
  • Making changes to security and capabilities for system users
  • First point of support for system issues and resolution, escalate issues to managed service provider or ERP software vendor
  • A key contact for the software partner regularly liaising with account manager on service levels
  • Work on development projects and enhancements to the system, including recommendations, input and testing
  • Working closely with the IT and Systems departments and advising on finance system related impacts on developments and projects
  • Setting up new companies within the system when there has been an acquisition and contributing to the integration of acquisitions


The Person

  • Part or Fully Qualified Chartered Accountant
  • Outstanding systems skills
  • Relevant experience in a business or finance environment
  • Interpersonal skills
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Organisational skills
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Analytical skills
