The Company

The client is one of the leading Luxury property developments in Saudi Arabia

The Role

Responsibility for the entire logistics life cycle from strategy to process flow, improvement, automation and operations; including, but not limited to forecast, planning, procurement, inventory control, outsourcing, vendor selection, and distribution. Evaluate the organisation\'s logistics supply chain performance against projected costs, operator KPIs, SLAs and timelines and coordinate activities across all units of the organization and have a major stake in the ultimate performance of logistics processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Successfully manage the logistics partner
  • Work effectively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful execution of logistics support across the destination
  • Identify systems tools needed to implement process improvement and efficiency
  • Coordinates development of solutions to complex logistics support problems with other product support functions, customers, and suppliers
  • Develop and implement logistics plans inclusive of supplier contracts, routing guidelines, problem resolution and cost containment
  • Planning and managing logistics, warehouse, transportation and customer services
  • Directing, optimizing and coordinating full order cycle
  • Liaising and negotiating with suppliers, manufacturers, retailers and consumers
  • Strategically plan and manage logistics, warehouse, transportation and customer services
  • Liaise and negotiate with suppliers, manufacturers, retailers and consumers
  • Keep track of quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs and efficiency
  • Arrange warehouse, catalog goods, plan routes and process shipments
  • Lead and manage relationships with vendors and clients
  • Stay abreast of market conditions (ocean freight, domestic dray age/trucking, international airfreight) and best practices to develop and execute strategies to flow product in the most economical manner.

The Person

  • Degree qualified
  • Minimum 15 years of experience working in logistics
  • Minimum 7 years in a logistics leadership role
  • Relevant industry experience (hospitality, resorts etc) would be advantageous
  • Experience in managing operators within both a customer focused and operational environment
  • Middle East experience would be advantageous although not essential
  • Proven track record in setting up and managing complex logistic strategies and processes within an end customer environment
  • Experience implementing logistics strategies and service level agreements with operators
  • Multi-Site management start up, and multi-site experience
  • 3 PL and 4 PL operations experience
  • Appreciation of the complexities of logistics within a remote location (air, sea etc.)
